Course Outline
This course is intended for people who are interested in enhancing their knowledge of the most current financial and accounting tools and methodology utilized in making relevant supply chain decisions.


Major Learning Objectives

  • Explain the role of accounting and accounting systems in the supply chain
  • Discuss the interrelationship between financial and managerial accounting, and application of the two types of reporting within the supply chain
  • Analyze the components of the general purpose financial statements
  • Understand the criteria and methods used in estimating product cost, including overhead allocation as part of the manufacturing process
  • Evaluate company performance using financial statement analysis

Course Outcomes
