Objectives:
Provides employers access to talented graduate student employees that possess state-of-the-art technology to assist with solutions to real business problems.
A challenging exposure to practical business engineering and information technology environments for students.
Minimal administrative burden for employers and simplifies connections to talented graduate students.
Students may work part time during the semesters and full time during the summer, semester and spring breaks.
The potential for increased full time engineering student employment with New York State companies.
Opportunities for more detailed joint industry-university projects through CASE (focusing on product design, product improvement/extension, or process improvement).
Student establishes an account on the Syracuse University on-line recruiting system: OrangeLink
Student uploads resume to his/her personal OrangeLink account
Student also submits resume to David DiMaggi
Resumes are reviewed, screening interviews are scheduled and the recommended students are then forwarded to the employer for final interviews and selection
The selected student completes the necessary forms through either the Student Employment Office or Office of International Students (Slutzker Center) and is added to the Syracuse University payroll.
The student reports to work as scheduled by the employer
Weekly time sheets are approved by the employer and submitted by student to the CASE
Student receives weekly payments from Syracuse University
