Overview & Mission
The mission of the CASE Center is to be a key contributor to the high-technology economy of New York State by making available the intellectual (and other) resources of Syracuse University and collaborating with New York State businesses and economic development organizations.

Ties to SU
CASE values and actively supports collaborations across campus and with the larger economic development community. We are developing strategic partnerships that add business savvy to CASE's operations. We are also reaching out to businesses and research sponsors in core technologies that support our growing technology signature in integrated SAID (Sense, Analyze, Interpret, Decide) systems.

Examples of strategic university partnerships include:

• Establishing a close working relationships with the School of Management's (SoM) Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) Program . The CASE Center is working with the SoM EEE Program to propose an entrepreneurship track for programs in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science.
• Continuing and expanding collaborations with the College of Law's Technology Transfer Research Center. Ted Hagelin, Director of TTRC is on the CASE Advisory Board.
• Creating, with the College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Central New York Advanced Course in Engineering in response to the needs for small and medium-sized technology companies for advanced systems engineering education.
• Continuing and expanding collaborations with the School of Information Science.
